{"id":379,"date":"2019-06-24T03:29:00","date_gmt":"2019-06-24T03:29:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/letishajackson.com\/?p=379"},"modified":"2019-06-24T03:29:00","modified_gmt":"2019-06-24T03:29:00","slug":"all-i-wanted","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/letishajackson.com\/?p=379","title":{"rendered":"All I Wanted&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>All I wanted was to be picked up off the floor where I had fallen in a heap of deep despair.\u00a0 To be gathered in his arms of apology, and sense a bit of self-loathing that would speak to my soul to assure it he would rectify the damage he caused my spirit.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>All I wanted was the same open heart I gave, that vulnerability from him to let me in, and reach across the boundaries that crippled his ability to fully open up, that area within him that kept me a virtual stranger even in marriage.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>All I wanted was to catch my breath, and to breathe in his sorrow for shattering my trust, my belief in good, and my doubts about true love.\u00a0 True love I was losing all faith in despite the fact that I loved him more than life itself.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>All I wanted was what he promised&#8230;forever.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;ve enjoyed this week&#8217;s post, or any of my other postings, I welcome you to subscribe to this weekly blog site.
